A film about films, or the need we all have to tell stories. All the characters in this film pass their time storytelling, or listening to stories, told in every way thinkable. The film’s plot has a number of strands, but the main one appears to have begun a few years before in Beirut, and is about the Devil and a television journalist called Almudena. They fell in love with each other, but then he panicked and stood her up at their second date. Years later, the Devil appears in Madrid willing to persuade Almudena to begin anew with him. But she has a very stable life now, and will not be easy to convince...
